[k1, yo] 3 times

I’ve been struggling with this pattern for 2 days. I’ve ripped it out at least 3 times and I still can’t figure it out.

It’s a “wavy lace pattern”. It says P1, *k1, [k1, yo] 3 times, ssk 3 times, p1; rep from * to end. I can’t figure out how to do this and keep the same # of stitches.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well you are supposed to be increasing 3 times with the 3 yos and decreasing 3 times with the ssk. The count should turn out correctly.

P, k, k, y, k, y, k, y, ssk, ssk, ssk, p

How many stitches are you starting with? And what do you do on the next row–is it purl across?

I’m starting with 104 stitches but seem to lose 1 stitch per pattern. I must not be doing enough yarn overs. The next row has more yo’s.

When I started working with YO’s, my troubles were on the row below the YO’s. I tended to drop the YO’s thinking that they were mistakes. Soooo … just take care in not dropping the YO’s on the following row; it’s actually pretty easy to accidentally drop them. Good luck!

It can be challenging to fix YOs if you drop them, too…I just becamce an expert on fixing YO/Ktbl/YO’s through knitting my Traveling Vines stole!

Thanks for you help. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I wasn’t doing the yo before the ssk. When you wrote it out, it finally dawned on me!
