(K1 yfwd K1) in next st

Hello-

I am new to this site and have come across (K1 yfwd K1) in next st. instruction. I understand the Yarn Over. I just don’t get how to do the above instruction all in the “next st” How do you K1 yfwd K1 in one st?

I am an off and on knitter and think I have just forgotten.

I understand it so that you knit in the stitch, but don’t slip it off the needle, then yarn over and knit into the stitch again, then slip it off the left needle.

Like she said you don’t slip it off, kinda like when you do a bar increase… for the bar increase you knit in the front of the stitch (leave it on) knit in the back of the stitch…

With this one knit (don’t slip it off) yo, knit again and slip it off…
