Just wanted to say "Thanks"

to Amy for her awesome videos. Thanks to them, I am now working on little projects on double point needles.

My 35th class reunion is next year, and I was wanting a pattern for small goodie bags. Everything I found was on dpns, which scared the heck out of me. After much searching, I did find one for straight needles, but it was much too big for what I wanted, plus the seaming wasn’t very easy.

So, I bit the bullet, popped in Amy’s video, and after watching it 3 or 4 times (had to learn the different cast-on) felt ready to attempt it.

I now have 15 little goodie bags knitted, and am working on more. They’re really cute - the bag is in one color and the drawstring tie (which I must confess, I use a chain of crochet, as the Icord still baffles me) is in the other color. (School colors are orange and black). I’m making half the bags black with orange drawstrings and half orange with black drawstrings. I think the’ll be cute little mementos, along with the stuff I put in them.

I’m really proud of myself for attempting and accomplishing something I never thought I’d be able to do!!!:woot::woohoo:

I also have found the videos invaluable. At the beginning I had to watch several times but wound up ‘getting it’. I think it was a great idea and perhaps over time they may be extended. Certainly some crochet ones in time would be great for people like me who can’t get beyond the chain

Thanks Amy!:cheering:
