You know, like in limenviolet, they had a sock[/stashbusting]marathon. (Well, they did a sock marathon.) Maybe we could do something like that… What they did was posted pics of their stash before they started stashbusting, and over the period of time (I think it was 3 months?) was they posted what they made an how many yards of yarn used converted to miles. (First one to knit 5 miles apparently won something, but…)
I think it’s a great idea! It has the potential for getting a lot of people involved, which I think would be fun. My stash has grown a bit too much lately, so this would be good motivation to whittle (knittle?) it down a little…
We’d just have to correspond with Artlady (Dollyce) and some of the other major people involved in KALs. But, if you’re in, maybe you could help round up people.
Sure, I’m in! Let me know what you’d like me to do. This is good timing for me - lots of my stash I bought to make gifts, and it’s just about gift-knitting time!
I know. It just might be better. I don’t know. If you want, yarmcharmer, you can go ahead and post pics of your stash. I will too when I get home. (I’m at my cousins high school graduation.)
I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to post again. I guess my hold up was the whole picture posting thing. I know it’s not really that hard, but I haven’t read through how to do it yet. In fact, I’m a little embarrassed to say, I have never even downloaded pictures from my camera to my computer. There - now that’s out in the open…
Are you still going to try to do this? I still have lots of stash to knit up, but it looks like a kind of small party… Maybe if we build it, they will come… :roflhard:
I would love to join you, but I’m going away on vacation in two weeks, for two weeks, and before I go, I have a LOT of clothing purging to do, and clean out a closet or three, for a friend who will be house-sitting here.
So I cannot begin until August. I usually don’t knit much in the hot summer months, tend to wait until September or October.
let me know if you decide to …He is so cute with his little cable stitch sweater. I have never knit any toys/animals before, hope they are not to tricky.
