Joining Afghan Strips

Hi all! I am making my first afghan. The pattern calls for making blocks in strips. The pattern does not tell me how to connect the strips. Each strip is about a foot wide (I don’t know if that matters). Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks so much!!!

One of two ideas:

  1. crochet them together
  2. mattress seam them together

I have done both. Both are nice! :thumbsup:
