Hi,
I’m knitting double moss stitch (also known as double seed stitch) in the round. So K2, P2 for 2 rows then P2, K2 for 2 rows.
So at the end of the 2nd K2, P2 row I then need to P2, K2 which creates 4 purl stiches in a row (I’ve tried to show this in the picture) and a bit of a jog.
Does anyone know a way of removing the jog?
Welcome to KH!
One thing you can try is to move your beginning of round marker over one stitch. Place it so that a round is …k2,p2,k2,p1 || p1,k2,p2,k2…
I tried this on a small swatch in the round and it looks like it works but I haven’t tested it with more rows. There’s going to be a jog at the marker but it’s much less noticeable than the 4 knits or 4 purls.
ETA: Close but not quite right (NQR). It leaves you with the two sts either side of the marker as single sts rather then 2 knit or 2 purls. It may be slightly less obvious but still not not seamless.
