Jacquard pattern
First time doing jacquard from the pattern in picture - how do I interpret the large white areas either side of the pattern?
Welcome to the forum Jill1026
Only squares in schematics represent stitches that repeats per pattern.
Row 43 to 48 will start with 5 stitches according to scheme and continue repeating that 5 sections stitches till end of row.
On row 49 you will have increase at 5th stitch m1 or kfb( depend of designer) each section will have 6 stitches.
On every row you see “v” mark is increasing stitch, so row 54,58,64,70,74,79,83 and 86
Ending with 14 stitches per repeats.
I would recommend using markers after each sections to keep tracking numbers of stitches between them to easier spot mistake. Treading dif color thread up every 5 rows will help with counting rows too.
Life line will be helpful as well. Just in case😁
I hope I cover all bases, if not please feel free to ask again if something not clear.
Thank you - it’s working perfect
Glad to hear that we would like to see picture when is done. Keep doing good job
