Italian yarn!

OOOOH! I LOVE the idea of a ballet shrug or something similar with that baby blue yarn!

Check these out:
Not exactly a ballet shrug, but PREEEETY nonetheless!

THIS ONE has a ballet NECK and a lacy pattern

Ballet STYLE wrap cardi

And, HERE’S a more “substantial” version.

You could add ties to this cable shrug- it’s pretty.

And then if you can find a copy of the Spring IK, there’s a lovely one on the cover.

Carol

I LOVE the rebecca one…I already had that pattern saved. I think the blue might be a bit too bulky for that though. If you see anything else though, let me know!

Ooh…the one on the cover of IK is pretty! Might have to look at that one more closely. Thanks!

That yarn looks amazing! I would have gone to one of their cheapo markets and bought a knockoff suitcase just to buy more yarn.

And what is funny is that clothing in Italy is sooooo expensive (to me; and small!)

Anyone know non-USA yarn stores that ship to the US (and, while I’m at it on my wish list, have English on their Web site)? Like, in England or Italy or Turkey or South America? I know there’s quite a few in Canada (like Elann!)

Carie

I know one :waving: (in absence of a handputting up smilie  )

and it’s also in english! The prices are quit normal compared to other german shops I know of. If I have the time I could search through my list of german shops and see if any of them also offer shipping outside of Germany.
As an addition: as far as I know their shipping prices reflect the “real” postage. I have recently looked into shipping prices to the US and if I remember correctly the range was the same.

I love colinette yarn and over her it is over $20 (usually around $23 per hank about 100yards)------My daughter travels to Ireland and she can get it there for about 6-8 Euros —which is no more than about $10 per hank…I always beg for yarn as my presents.

That was fun, looking around. I actually have some Zitron Evita I bought here for $3.20 - it was discounted from $8. On this site it’s $3.40, a full bag would be about $34 plus shipping to US - rapid conversion…about $23 to ship = $57 USD. If I had paid full retail for a whole bag, it would have been $80, not including tax. Ok, I now see the advantage of buying directly from Europe (in comparison to paying full retail) - at least in this one instance. Thanks!

WOW! With economy shipping to US, some of the things on their site are definitley worth it! Thanks for the tip. If you find any more, please let us know. And…if you are in Germany, a train ticket to Florence might be worth it just for that yarn store. It was that good!

Believe it or not, I have just searched for the price of a ticket to italy
Unfortunately a bit too much for me at the moment. Milano/Florence is NOT included in the SparNight trains as I thought(aka hoped for) :frowning:
That would have only been 29€…

Anyway, I’ve searched through the other online stores I know of, but they are not in english. They wrote that you’ve got to ask them about international shipping. Think it will be the same as in the other shop I posted above.
Here are my favourit stores. I only listed the ones I brought from before.

http://www.bastelundhobbykiste.de/oxid/ This one is partly in english and I know that the owner is able to write and understand english too

http://www.mariannes-opalwolle.de/ This one “only” sells sock yarn, but has such a great variety of it.

http://wollmaus.shop.t-online.de/ This one has sales ALL the time. If you click on a manufacturer on the left you’ll get two options:
-aktuell
-sonderangebot = special offer

If you’ve got any questions-translation etc.- you can ask me
