It was all going so well, body panels made then I started the sleeves. I shaped the top as per below instructions. Or so I thought but the sleeve is way to large to fit into the body, what did I do wrong?
Can anyone translate the below for me?

Dec 1 st at each end of next 3 rows, then on 5 foll alt rows.
49 [51: 55: 57: 61] sts.
So I read that as Dec 1 stitch at each end on next 3 rows, then again on the next 5 following alternative rows so Dec each end in rows. 1, 2, 3, 5,7,9,11,13
Then…
Work 3 rows straight, ending with RS facing for next row.
Yes understand. Row 16
Then…
Dec 1 st at each end of next and every foll 4th row until 39 [39: 41: 41: 45] sts rem.
So each end of rows 17, 21, 25, 29, 33, 37, 41, 45??
then on every foll alt row until 25 sts rem.
So… 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61???
Work 1 row straight, ending with RS facing for next row.
Row 62
Then…
Dec 1 st at each end of next 4 rows, ending with RS facing for next row. 17 sts.
So… 63,64,65,66?
Cast off rem 17 sts
Am I understanding this right?
