Anyone here knit up a bag for to use for the grocery store?? How did you find it holds up after completing the project?

I’m having a brain fart. Where is the place with the pattern index? There is one there and maybe one at Lion Brand. I’ll have to check my computer and see where my pattern came from.

There is also on knitty a felted wool market bag, I dont know how much it holds. I so need to make one of these cause I love the shape. I think it is called french market bag
not sure if you are looking for the mesh type that expands or the sling type or the open basket style ( usually felted ) or one that looks like the rectangular reusable bags the major chain grocery stores use ?
there are lots of pattens for all those types but I am not sure which one you are looking for the posts above should give you a really good start
Search on google for ‘knitting pattern string bag’ or ‘knitting pattern market bag’ or ‘knitting pattern recycle grocery bag’ or any other similar description you can think of. Often a crochet bag will slip in there, so just glance thru the instructions to make sure it’s knit.
