i’m just wondering if there are any free cables out there on the web similar to Elsebeth Lavold’s gorgeous cables. i tried googling for it and links to her books on amazon and the like came up, but not much else (besides her yarn).

I hope you don’t hate me for this-- which is, there is at least one pattern out there, and I don’t know how to find it! It was on this site within the past month or so, and it’s a long coat, shown in grey, or a cardigan, shown in white, depending on which way you wanted to make it. The thread was titled something like “beautiful coat”. I did some searching around and just couldn’t find it. But if you want to go hunting, it was either in General Knitting, Pattern Central, or How-to Questions.

i am actually completely in love with that sweater and am considering knitting it as my first personal sweater.
what i’m looking for is a cable pattern that only takes up about 12 or 13 stitches. i want to knit some wristwarmers with a cable down the center back. i love the angularity (new word :teehee:) of EL’s cables. i really like regular cables, too, but for this project EL’s are pretty close to perfect.
i really wish my borders carried that one. i have a bunch of 30% off coupons.
ETA: alrighty. i just checked it out over at KP and i will definitely be ordering it soon. i’d tell you how cheap it is, but then you guys would buy them all and there wouldn’t be one left for me! :roflhard:
