Is Bamboo any good for socks

I did a search and could not find if this had been ask/answered before.

How well does bamboo hold up as sock yarn?

Is there a non-wool blend of bamboo sock available?

How cool (temperature) is it for warm weather?

Any other comments about bamboo yarn in general?

Thank you for your help and comments in advance.

Here are 3 non-wool bamboo blends in fingering weight:

It’s wonderfully soft, a little splittly to work with until you get used to it, washes well, but I’m not sure how hard wearing-- haven’t had them long enough to tell!

I have never knit a sock, let alone a sock knit from bamboo yarn.

But I own several pairs of socks knit from bamboo blends, and I love them. Really comfy and supposedly they make your feet less likely to smell. Not sure if the odor of my feet has improved but they are very soft.

I started a sock using 100% bamboo yarn and frogged it and made a scarf instead. I find bamboo very limp. I like socks to stay up and not slide down around my ankles and the bamboo just had no elasticity. It was incredibly soft and pettable and it made a lovely scarf that I gave to my sister.
