I want to knit a giant circle on the back of the sweater I’m making. I found a circle pattern for 50x70. Can I just double the pattern to make a larger circle. Tnx
By just enlarging, the borders of the circle will be less smooth. If you want smooth borders you will need to slightly modify it.

Use the link above for your exact gauge. I strongly recomend using odd numbers for width and height because it looks smoother.
The app was made for minecraft but will work for a knitted circle too.
I ran a sample at 101 sts wide and 141 rows high. If you want an even count just skip the gray column (stitch) and gray row.

Yes. Use your gauge ratio.
I just doubled a 50 by 70 circle like @djsalem asked, that is why I used 100 by 140.
