Ingrid has come in out of the yard

The scarves!!! :thud: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: and of course :notworthy: :notworthy:

The scrunchable knit with Mmmmmm using Addis has to be one of the best knitting experiences I’ve ever had. In general using Addis and Mmmm is orgasmic, actually.

:thud:

And fondling the scarf scrunchable Mmmmmalabrigo scarf that Angelia knit tops my list of knitting experiences too!

It’s on Addis, of course, and it’s the same colorway! We’ll be twins!

You two will be twins! I don’t know if I have enough Mmmmm left in brown berries to make myself a scrunchable, but I am about to cast on one in that loverly green. And I’m using two hanks b/c I like my scarves loooooooooooooooooooooong.

I have 3 skeins. I’m thinking of making mittens with it, too. Or a hat if I decide to give the set as a gift. I was going to use one skein for the scarf, make the hat or mittens, and then finish the scarf with what I have left.

How long did yours turn out to be?

With one hank and a cast-on of 20 stitches, I think it was about 5 or 6 feet…hey Dilly, how long is that scarf?

75". I just measured it.

Mine’s wider, but with 3 skeins, I should have plenty, with no need to order more. size=1[/size]

I edited that sentence for you, Ingy. It was full of typos…:shifty:

Thanks! I needed that! I should proofread what I type. :shifty:

I know! I mean for a second there, those typos made me think you didn’t need more yarn!

:thud:

I’m making a two hank mmmmMalabrigo scrunchable. It was only going to be a hank and a half, but the colors are SO different that I decided it would be slightly less ugly and wrong looking if it turned out to be half and half. I’m starting to rethink the mmmMalabrigo sweater thing unless I find a shop that sells it so I can inspect the hanks to make sure they actually match.

And it was the Music Teacher that picked up on it! :roflhard: :roflhard:

Something to keep an eye out for–thanks.

It may have been a freak thing, Ingrid. And I think I would have noticed if I’d paid more attention while winding the ball, so I SHOULD have caught it before I started knitting. Oh, well. It’s still the softest thing I’ve ever touched.

Isn’t that usually a problem with hand dyed things like Manos and Malabrigo? I’m chancing it with my urban aran. It’s going to be a hand knit design feature if it happens. But I ordered all the yarn at once, and it was bagged, so hopefully it’ll be ok. But I do have a rogue ball of the same color from a previous purchase floating in my stashing. Hopefully it doesn’t find its way into my sweater.
