I am knitting my first pair of mittens. I have successfully done the make one front increases for the thumb gusset, have placed the thumb stitches on a holder and now the pattern says to knit one round and increase two stitches (over where the thumb stitches are on a holder) how do I do an increase of two stitches here? I can’t knit into the bar of the row below, as they are all on a stitch holder. Plus it says to increase here, not make one…help!
Increasing
Do you think a kfb would work?–(knitting into the front and back of a stitch)
I’ll try it. I assume I have to do it twice to get the two stitch increase?
thank you for your help.
Yes, each will give you one extra stitch, so do two.
