Increase question

Okay, I can usually figure out most instructions, but here is an easy pattern for a dishcloth and I can’t figure it out. You cast on 1 stitch. Then the 1st row - RS - says K1, yfwd K1 and it ends up with 3 stitches. Maybe I have brain freeze today, but I don’t get it. Can someone help. It’s a simple free Lily dishcloth. I don’t have a link (sorry) I printed it out and don’t have it. Thanks in advance. :muah:

Yes, it sounds like pattern on the diagonal, and you’ll be increasing as you go long until the 1/2 way point, then will start decreasing.

YOu cast on a single stitch. the first row is k1, yarnover, k1 in the same stitch.
The result is three stitches.

Okay, that I understand…I figured it had to be some kind of yarnover, but I was unclear how to get to 3… Thanks for the help. :muah:
