I'm verklempt

My 26 month old son went pee in the kiddie potty today (while watching an Elmo potty training video.) My little boy is growing up! I’m so proud of him.

He got to use a sticker. Everytime he goes in the potty he gets to use a sticker.

If it is warm enough today, I’m going to walk to the store and get him big boy underpants.

:woot: :yay: :woohoo:

Good for him! Milestones like this matter a lot.

Excellent! One thing I did with my girls was to make them use the potty before they took a bath. They loved baths so that was pretty easy.

A milestone! Congrats to you both. (I have sons and I swear, I once thought his future wife was going to have to take over potty training for one of them.)

:roflhard: I’ve heard that about boys! My girls were both potty trained by the age of 25 mos after 3-4 weeks of training.

When you were younger (pre-motherhood) did you ever dream that a little pee would make you so happy? :teehee:

LOL I chose to not add: I decided if I had another son I’d wait and let the kindergarten teacher train him. Daughter trained herself at about 19 mos.

O.o

Great! Just make sure those big boy underpants fit snugly! DS had very thin legs so the underwear was a teensy bit baggy. We were in Kinko’s and little balls of poop rolled down out his pant legs onto the floor!

What does verklempt mean? I’m sure it’s something good…happy? proud? excited?

I think it’s yiddish and means choked up with emotion?

I learned it from watching “The Nanny” I think. Lol
