I’m looking to make this scarf ( and maybe later hat set) and it looks like a nice chunky aran tweed but I’m struggling on the color, is it perhaps light grey? or oatmeal? or tan?
So I came by to find out if anyone had made this one or known anyone who has been interested in it, because I’ve done a lot of searches and have found nothing really on it.
These were some of the best pics I could find, so sorry if the quality leaves quite a bit to be desired.
Might help to watch the scenes where she’s wearing it I haven’t seen it, so not sure if there’s a scene with daylight where the light isn’t being reflected off snow but I feel this might give you a better overall idea of the true colour, than stills.
I do agree the yarn should be flecked/tweed, though. I will say if I were making it, I’d lean toward light grey as well.
Others see this as light grey, but on my monitor, it’s a light powder blue with dark grey for the tweedy effect. But the only thing that really matters is that you find a yarn you like and use that for your scarf. If possible, print a photo off your computer and take that along to compare, if you really want to match this as closely as possible.
it seems I’ve misplaced my copy lol so I tried to find it online to no avail but found that scene shortly on youtube and sadly the colors don’t look any clearer than they did in my pics.
It just looks like a misty grey, but could also be pale blue or oatmeal or cream colored and is made to look grey by the brightness of the snow all around and lighting in that scene… hmmm
I have tried some color correction to match the color of the coat between the two images. Still to much blue, I think, in the image with the hat and scarf.
