i want to make some lacy ankle socks in a crisp white color. is that possible? i’m not finding what i want at my usual online places. granted, my list is pretty short as far as places to look. any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :cheering:
Here is some white.
What a coincidence – I’ve been looking at white sock yarn for the last week, because I want to knit my daughter socks for school. (Long story, she gets really irritated by storebought socks!) Here are the ones I’ve found…
Lang Jawoll Cotton
Lang Jawoll Solid
I’d love to make some with Baby Cashmerino, but I’m afraid they wouldn’t wear well. They sure would be comfy though!
I am doing the Rainy Day sock pattern from Magknits in Louisa Harding Kashmir DK. It comes in white. The lace pattern is very pretty and these knit up super fast.
The yarn is also supposed to be durable do to the microfiber content.
thank you all so much! i will check all those links out.
Dale of Norway’s Baby Ull is a superwash Merino fingering weight yarn that you could use for socks also:

thank you all again! i shopped around and ordered some cascade fixation in opulent (white) and ecru. i figure if i’m wearing khaki’s, ecru would like nice in lace also. xoxoxo
