Icelandic Cast On & Bind Off - Patty Lyons video

I have to try this one. Apparently getting it too tight isn’t much of an issue.

Very nice looking on both cast on and bind off.

I’ll have to do real comparison but I think the Icelandic bind off with a German twisted/Old Norwegian cast on might be my preferred match still. I saw another video for a bind off she unvented that I like. It would be nice on a neckline, the cuffs and bottom of a top down sweater, other things IMO. It has what I like and doesn’t have what I don’t like about picot bind offs. Until I try it I won’t know about the stretch factor but I think it should be pretty good.

Haven’t tried the Icelandic cast on, but did some I cast off and I love it!! Yes, they are so stretchy , which are perfect for necks or garnments for kids that doesn’t love any tight around. Also love this cast off method for garter knitted pieces.

I like an I cord bind off but sometimes the almost I cord look of the Icelandic bind off works better for me. I need to try this new cast on and the bind offs to make up my mind about them. I think I might have use for them sometime.

Love the Icord bind off, but doesn’t use it very often.

You’re welcome! I thought it looks pretty too. I really need to test drive it so maybe I’ll remember it when I want to use it.
