I messed up my edge. Is there anyway to fix it

I was knitting a pattern that called for cables. As I was knitting it, I thought that it needed an extra cable in the middle of the piece even if the pattern didn’t call for it and decided to unravel to a point prior to where the cable started. It did that fine, but the last loop on the of the edge in the last completd row was really long. I was trying to see if I could tighten it (mistake #1). Well, one thing lead to another and pretty soon I’d unraveled several rows down on one edge. This has never happened to me before, and at this point I don’t know how to fix it and I don’t really want to unraval again cuz the part where the edge has unraveled is all lace. I really just want to sit and cry. Is there anyway to fix this?

I don’t know that there’s a knit solution, but if you’re going to put a seam along that edge, you can just secure it by sewing it so it won’t unravel more, and any problem with the edge will be hidden in the seam.

If it’s not seamed, then maybe you could sew it in place and then pick up stitches for a knitted on edge when you’re done, if you think that would look ok.

there is a video if you dropped a stitch or you missed it, i don’t have link for it but i will pm you if you did.

This should help
