What exactly is an i-cord, and what is it for?
This is how an i-cord is worked:

They are used for a variety of purposes, from embelishments (think chinese frog style closures and dimensional fringe)
And can be modified into bind-offs for an interesting finish.
I-cord is often used as handles on bags, cords to tie on hats, edging along a sweater, appliqued decoration on the surfact of a sweater… it’s basically a cable that can be used anywhere.
Marnie, that link to dnt-inc brings back memories. I can’t believe it was only a month ago that I had my old site up, with all those links to their animations! They were the reason I started a knitting page in the first place! I thought their animations were so cool, but they didn’t include a basic knit and purl one, so I filmed a few videos, and made a knitting resource page on my personal website…
