Hi
I am knitting cumulus blouse by petiteknit
The finishes of body, sleeves and the neck are all done by I-cord bind off methods as described:
Cast on 4 sts using the knitted cast-on method on the left needle (from the RS). [K3, k2tog tbl, slip the 4 sts back on the left needle, repeat from * to * a total of 3 times. K3, k3tog tbl, slip the 4 sts back on the left needle
I have done that for the body and the sleeve, but the neck part I am a little confused as it says:
Work an i-cord edge as described for the body, but without decreases.
So does that mean once I pick the neck sts, cast on 4 sts, then K5, slip the 5 sts back on the left needle?
The Ravelry pattern page has a link to a video which shows the I-cord bind off with the (k3, k3tog tbl) every 4th stitch. Don’t work this last dec on the neck. Just continue with the conventional I-cord bind off:
[Cast on 4 sts using the knitted cast-on method on the left needle (from the RS). * K3, k2tog tbl, slip the 4 sts back on the left needle* , repeat from * to * to the end.)
There are some useful comments in this project:

Hello! I’m having the same dilemma right now! I checked the Petite Knit videos but didn’t find this particular problem covered. Could you let me know if you worked it out?
I just finished the T-shirt version of this sweater. Is it the I-cord bind off in general or the specific direction to leave out the decreases?
Here’s a video for I-cord bind off:
It shows a 3 stitch I-cord where your instructions are for a 4 stitch I-cord. Follow your instructions.
Where your pattern has k3tog tbl, just work a k2tog tbl on the neckband.
So you keep repeating k3, k2tog tbl for this bind off.
Hi! It’s the V neck ichord bind off I was having trouble with but think I sorted it. That said I’m not sure why instructions say to only pick up 2 stitches for every 3 rows along the V. Any idea why that’s better than picking up 1 stitch for every row?
The designer has perhaps tried that and found that the i-cord ripples when you pick up one stitch for every row. Two sts per 3 rows is the rule of thumb for stockinette in general.
We’d love to see this sweater when you finish if you’d like to post a photo.
