I would like to make the Everday Purse with Flap out of Felted Knits. The yarn is held double stranded (worsted). I am using size 11 circs 24". I am to cast on 58 stitches. However, I basically have to stretch the stitches in order to join them in the round. Which I know isn’t correct. Am I doing something wrong? Should I move up a needle size? Would it matter when it came time to felt it? I am confuzzled. Maybe I shouldn’t start projects late in the night? :rollseyes: :shock:
It sounds like you need a shorter cable than24". I am always amazed at the number of people on this site in the wee hours!!! Good luck, and get some sleep!!!:lol: Tillie

I don’t have that book but are you sure you’re supposed to join in the round right away? Are you perhaps supposed to knit flat for a while to make the bottom then pick up stitches and start knitting in the round? Double check your directions.
