sometimes i can rib no problem - other times it turns into moss stitch…
so if i start with a knit stitch and say the last stitich is also knit what do i do on the next row?
and what if the reverse start knit, end purl…what is the next row?
what’s he secret?

i used to do that all the time when i was ribbing!!
now i just remember to knit on the knits and purl on the purls.
someone correct me if that’s wrong. 
You do knit the knits and purl the purls as they face you.
If you’re not at a point where you can see them easily, though, remember that, for ribbing, if you end with a knit you start with a purl and vice versa.
