How to read a specific pattern

I am newish to knitting and trying to knit my first sweater. The pattern I am using is Libellule Summer top by Mil y un hilo/Hobbii Design in the XL size. The part I am confused about is:
Front part
Knit back and forth 20 (20) 22 (24) 26 sts, cast off as follows:
XS: 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts
S: 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts
M: 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1x1st, 1x1st
L: 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 3 x 1st, 3 x 1st
XL: 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 2 x 1st, 2 x 1st

Cast off the last 10 (10) 10 (10) 10 sts and slip the following 40 (40) 44 (48) 52 sts and leave
those stitches on hold.
Knit back and forth 20 (20) 22 (24) 26 sts, cast off as follows:
XS: 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts
S: 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts
M: 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1x1st, 1x1st
L: 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 3 x 1st, 3 x 1st
XL: 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 2 x 1st, 2 x 1st
Cast off the last 10 (10) 10 (10) 10 sts.
Get the 40 (40) 44 (48) 52 sts put on hold from the front part and work 2 rows back and forth
using the stockinette stitch. Then, cast off these 40 (40) 44 (48) 52 sts.

Back part: Repeat the front part.

This is the front part of the left armhole (left as you wear the top).
For the 26sts at the front left armhole cast off 4sts at the beginning of a knit row (RS row), finish the row, turn and purl back.
Repeat this cast off of 4sts at the beginning of the next knit row.
At the beginning of the next knit row cast off 2sts, finish the row and purl back.
Repeat this cast off of 2sts on the knit row and then purl the following row.
At the beginning of the next 2 knit rows, cast off 1stitch then repeat this cast off of one stitch on the following 2 knit rows.
You’ll have 10sts remaining. Cast them off.

Then you slip the 52 front sts to a holder and work similar cast offs at the beginning of purl (WS) rows on the right front armhole 26sts.

Neckline shaping for your Libellule Summer Top (XL size) involves decreasing stitches to create the curve. For each front shoulder, you’ll cast off (or bind off) stitches at the beginning of rows: first 4 sts, then 4 sts again, then 2 sts, then 2 sts again, and finally 1 st twice. This is done on specific rows to create the curve. After completing one shoulder, you’ll set aside the 52 center neckline stitches on a holder. Then, you’ll work the second shoulder, mirroring the cast-offs on the opposite edge. Finally, you’ll work two Official Website rows in stockinette on those 52 held stitches before casting them all off. You’ll repeat this entire process for the back part of the sweater.

Thank you for the help. I appreciate it!
