How to read a pattern

Hi All,
I just started knitting, took a class and can sorta of knit and purl. :slight_smile: The class didn’t teach us about reading a pattern. So, I was wondering if there was a book Icould get or somewhere on this site that explains it all…

jsut trying to get a handle on the vocab in the knitting world :slight_smile:

I have to recommend Stitch n Bitch as a great beginner’s book. It has helped me a lot, and I still reference it when I get stuck on something!
