So i’ve been knitting like a madwoman for the last couple of weeks and have finally finished the sweater for my bf’s birthday. YAY!! I did end up ruining the surprise because I wanted him to like what I was going to make, so I showed him the pattern. I kinda regret doing that, bc now, I wish i could have surprised him! But I’m wondering, is there any way I CAN still surprise him? Maybe with some special wrapping or something like that? Any ideas?
How to make it a surprise
you could tie it in a bow around yourself. But don’t wear anything else :eyebrow:
Knitty had an article on this… how to package your finished work for gift giving.
Or YOU could wear the sweater (and nothing else) with a big bow tied around you. :eyebrow: :roflhard:

that was going to be my suggestion too…assuming you aren’t 16 of course!
:roflhard: :roflhard: That is way too funny.
Tell him you gave up on the sweater so you got him something else.
I thought my DH knew about most of his birthday presents, so I wrapped a shirt I had gotten him in the same fabric I made my MIL pj pants out of. He thought he had gotten a pair too! Or you can always give him something else on his birthday and then give it to him the next day. We play the “birthday week” around here…so that goes over well!
