I am trying to K1P1 in the same stitch to make a raspberry children’s hat. I am completing what I think to be the K1P1, then slipping the knit stitch over as directed. However, I don’t feel that it looks the same as the sample picture, but no further directions are given. Can anyone clarify this for me?
Thanks!
Yes, it’s not that difficult.
You take a stitch on your LH needle. Knit in it. Now DON’T lift it off! Instead, bring your yarn forward. Now Purl in that same stitch as if you hadn’t already done anything with it.
Now you can lift it off the LH needle.
Ta-Da! You just did K1, P1 in the same stitch!

Thanks! That is what I have done. The stitch just does not seem to “stick” out as far as it should to look like a “raspberry seed”. Will continue to do as you have suggested! Thanks again!
Stitche patterns sometimes doesn’t look like the picture with just one stitch, or even one row. It takes a couple inches and then it looks right.
