Hi everyone, what is the best way to hide knots when you work on seed stitch? I typically don’t like knots so I tried to leave long tails and weave them following the seed stitch pattern. I found out that the end yarn tail is still hard to hide. What’s the best way to secure them so they won’t unravel after wash?

I don’t use knots but prefer to weave in the ends for a couple of inches in one direction and then back in the opposite direction. This works in seed stitch too. Are you making something like a scarf, where both sides will be visible when you wear it?
Use a spliced join.
It’s best to only join at the beginning of the row. These are easier to hide and won’t show up on either side of your work, just on the edge until you work it in with a tapestry needle. Split the ply’s in the ends of the yarn with the tip of your needle. Work them into the knitted fabric with two strands rather than one bulky one. Otherwise, it’s very noticeable.
I’ve not used the double knot join in this [COLOR=“Red”]thread[/COLOR], some swear by it.
If I used it, I’d still weave in the ends instead of cutting that close to the knot.
Hi everyone, thank you for the helpful tips. I am making scarf in circular needle. I did exactly like what salmonmac did. My concern is the tail of the yarn that still looks visible.
Yes, I join at the beginning of the row when I work on straight needles. This time I used circular needles. The “end tail” of the weave in end is still visible. I’m not sure if I explain it right… haha…
