I’ve just started knitting and I’ve made just a little patch. I’m coming to the end of my thread and I don’t know how to finish. I’ve only just joined this site so please help thanks :knitting:
Welcome!
Here’s a video on how to bind off your knitting: http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/binding-off
Thanks so much :happydance: so I checked out this video and have finished my patch, but I didn’t know what to do when I came to the very last stitch and it didn’t tell me on the video, so how do I finish my last stitch? Thanks so much :knitting:
Just cut your yarn and pull it through that last loop. You can stretch the last loop bigger to make it easier. Leave a bit of a tail.
The video how-to-knit-basics-beginner-tutorial-part-3 will tell you (pretty much) everything you need to know about binding off.
If you want to watch Part 1 and 2 click on the ‘Free Videos’ tab at the top of the page and then scroll down to just under Amy’s introductory paragraph.
If you hover your curser over the ‘Free Videos’ tab and then click on either ‘Tips’ or ‘Advanced Techniques’ you’ll find some more videos for techniques that don’t really fall under any other category.
