Hi all. I am brand new to knitting, but have been felting for a while.
I just took a class and knitted a pair of simple slippers.
We followed the pattern Ruffle Top Slippers by Ruth Shepard.
(I cannot post the link on my first post)
I knitted them several sizes larger as I would like to try and felt them.
I have some questions though.
First, with these slippers, there is a seam going up the middle and down the back. If felt them, should the seam be on the inside? If so, with it compress down with felting?
Second, If the seam is on the inside, I am thinking it might be irritating for my daughter so I was thinking of making the seam on the outside and stitching over it with a different color yarn to make, has anyone done this?
Third, when felting in the washing machine, do I just run it through one cycle?
Thanks
Jen
