Hey,
I am still struggling to work out how to do the crown on my beanie. I keep trying things and having to unpick.
I have CO 80 stitches for a beanie. 5.00mm straight needles. I am knitting it flat and have used 1x1 rib stitch so far.
I am trying to decrease the crown then will sew it up. I have tried lots of things (new knitter)
You might look at patterns for ribbed beanies on Ravelry for ideas of how to decrease. The conventional decrease might be every 8 sts (rib 6, k2tog) or 10 sts (rib 8, k2tog). Then rib around without decreases. On the next row, knit one fewer stitch between decreases. Keep repeating these rows until you have a small number of sts.
thank you veryyyyy much!!!
then the next line of decreases would be k1 p1 k1 p1 k1 k2 together
I really appreciate the help, i have no one to ask in person x
