How to convert a pattern to circular

I’m trying to figure out how to change a sweater pattern to circular, I just finished a vest for my son and didn’t enjoy seaming it up at all! I just want to do a simple stockinette stitch pullover for my granddaughter. Would I just knit as usual until I get to the underarms, then put half the stitches on a holder and follow the pattern as it’s written for front and back? Also, does anyone know of a site that has patterns knit on circular needles? I’ve been looking all day, but haven’t really found anything that catches my eye!

Thanks for any help you can give me!

To convert a stockinette stitch sweater to the round, you’ve got the right idea. You can take 4 stitches off the total cast on to account for the stitches used in seaming, and you’re good to go.

I can’t wait to get started!
