I am knitting a sweater with a kangaroo pocket and I thought the pocket would need some kind of border, so I looked up some images.
I was curious how the horizontal ribbing on the edges of the pocket are done. If anyone has any advice for a ribbed border on the side of pockets, that would be great. Thanks!
The rib in the picture was probably worked separately then seamed to join to the pocket.

I’ve made a hooded sweater with kangaroo pocket several times and it’s always a child favorite.
This one has the stitches picked up around the opening. It would be even easier with a straight rather than curved edge. Then the side edges of the horizontal rib are stitched down to the sweater body.
