How should I block a Noro Kureyon scarf?

I plan on gifting a scarf that is done in Noro Kureyon 100% wool. I’m in the process of doing the Branching Out pattern, you can check out my progress here: http://i16.tinypic.com/348kfw1.jpg

I’m liking the results, but I think it needs to be blocked when I finish. I have never really blocked anything, especially wool. Whats the best/easiest way to block? and how should I tell the person who is getting the gift to take care of it?

Any help will greatly be appreciated :muah:

Hereis a great article on blocking. Hope it helps.

I knit a scarf out of the same yarn. I used the “wet” method for blocking. I wet the scarf and then gently pressed the excess water out with a towel. Then I put it out on another towel and put it into “shape” and it dried over night. It felt even softer after that process. I had no problem at all. :happydance:
