How many projects?

… should I take for a 2-day ski trip? 1 1/2-2 hours each way sitting in the car, 2 nights in hotel room, plus at least one afternoon after skiing. 3, or 4? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I should be getting my ski gear together, not stuffing a bag with projects!

At least take something mindless and something you’ll enjoy working on.

Hats! Easily portable and fun to complete.
Have a great trip and enjoy the slopes.

I have a hat, but I’m already to the decreases. I also have a cowl that’s about 2/3 done. And a crochet shawl that will take forever, but is fairly mindless. What I want to take, of course, is the Ziggurat cardigan that I was having trouble starting.

Ziggurat might help motivate you to hit the slopes. lol

I am happy to report that I have actually worked on all 3 WIPs that I brought with me! Super Beanie, by Kimberly Perkins, Dahlia Shawl, by Lisa Naskrent (crochet), and Dustland Beanie, by Stephen West (except I’m making it into a cowl by adding repeats).

I may even tackle the tric Ziggurat this morning while we wait for it to warm up enough to go skiing–it was 8F/-13C when we woke up. Should hit 15F/-9C by noon, which is fine if dressed for it. We spent the winter of 2023 skiing at those temps in Östersund, Sweden, so we have the gear. We determined our lower limit was -11C.

You are doing it all! Lovely projects and skiing (even at 15F, brrr). Hope you’ve left something in progress for the remainder of your trip! Enjoy the slopes.

We do X-country, so not so many slopes. And we can be in the forest, so not too much wind either.

I do socks or shopping bags. No counting and small needles.
