How do YOU prioritize your projects?

I’ve been keeping track of MY LIST of possibilities in the wonderful Ravelry QUEUE!

You can rearrange the order of the list, or change the yarn you planned! You can keep notes in each queued project such as: “Purchased and printed the pdf. Have the yarn! Color: Midnight Blue.”

The Ravelry QUEUE is a very useful tool!

I have 72 patterns in my queue. Seventeen are tagged “pairedwithyarn”.

As far as knitting for others: I knit for close friends and family. Only.

Funny thing, my friends and family don’t ask me to knit this or that. I don’t know why. But I’m very happy about that. I’d hate to say yes “under pressure”…and I’d hate it worse to say no…and I’d hate it even worser to say yes and then procrastinate and bear the guilt. :eyes:

I think I’m like Jan, I knit what I want, when I want.
Everyone gets something in due time! And as I said, for friends and family, and for free.

I go hogwild when we’re having a baby, either a grandbaby, or someone at our congregation is having a baby! Everyone loves to get their hands on my baby knits, and I love doing it! I have to sit on my hands to prevent myself from knitting more than 5 sweaters or so. I think I appear rather insane.

yae mesaverde !!! My 2 daughters are beginnig knitters. They are REALLY buisy with school right now. I admire the fact that you take time out of your buisy schedule to do this wonderful craft.

artlady: I recently joined Ravelry and I must admit I am a doofus when it comes to computer how to. The site is big and I am trying to learn my way around. I would love to learn how to post pattern links, start a notebook, etc. You seem to have it together in that department. I enjoy looking at your projects

72??!!

:noway: < %&#*!! )

I believe it is very revealing when I say, it has to do with my running across it when I’m looking for something. I’ll find an UFO and think, “why didn’t I finish that”. I might pick it up and work on it again, or I might not. No prioritization other than just what I feel like at that moment. Not proud of that, but it is the way I do it.

I was a member for a couple of years before I used it much. I still only go to see projects I’m considering. I found it unfriendly, and hard to navigate at first, but I can find my way around now for the most part. Don’t overlook the “favorite” thing so you can find your special item again after going to all the trouble to find it!
