Some books tell you ml is an increase where you take the horizontal yarn between your last stiched stich and knit it. Others say you knit in the back as to knit but you don’t remove your needle and purl in the front of the stich. which do I use? :wall: :??
The M1F or M1L increase is done by knitting into the horizontal bar below the last stitch…you can knit into the back loop and I suggest doing that because it will help close up the hole made by picking up that bar. But you’ll knit into that back loop, not purl into it…especially if the increase is being done on a knit row.
