I’m a beginner knitter here. I have been wanting to knit a v-neck drop-shoulder pullover from the bottom up but I don’t really know how to go about it? I know that knitting a drop-shoulder means that I’ll have to knit two rectangles, so I need to know how exactly to knit the v-shape for the front piece. Any help at all will be very good! Thanks in advance!
Hi and welcome!
it might be easiest to look for a pattern for a V-neck sweater so that you have a feeling for the placement and shaping of the neck. Basically, when you reach the spot where you want to start the V, you’ll divide the front into two pieces, a left and right shoulder. Work each side with a separate ball of yarn and bind off at the veck edge every so many rows until you have the shape you want. This’ll depend on your gauge and that’s where a V-neck pattern in a similar gauge will be a help.
