Hi, My name is Pam and I am from the foothills of the Adirondacks. I am relatively new to knitting. I just started this pattern for a baby dress. The pattern calls for *k1, k1 in stitch in row below; rep from *. My question is this. When I k1 in the stitch in row below, do I remove the loop off the needle or is that the stitch I would have to do the next k1 in? I would really appreciate someone helping me with this. Or pointing me to a video where I could learn. I am about 2 weeks away from being a Grandma for the first time and I would love to give my daughter this dress when she has the baby. Thank you for your help.
Here is an illustration. You do let the stitch slide off, or you will end up increasing in every stitch, since the k1below can be used as an increase, as well.
Ingrid…thank you so much for quickly replying to me. I appreciate your help so much! I hope you have a wonderful evening! Pam
