How do I cast on with my yarn on the right hand needle?

I’m making this sweater for my son…http://www.patternfish.com/patterns/13094

I’ve finished the first part of the neck, yoke… it’s knit in a top down on circular needles BUT knit flat… I’m just dividing for the sleeves and I’ve run into a snag… I’ve knit to the first stitch divider and removed it. I’ve put the sleeve stitches onto scrap yarn. The instructions said to K1 after I put the sleeve stitches on the scrap yarn. So now my yarn is on the right hand needle. Now it says
"Cast on the right hand tip of the needle 19 stitches and join to the back sts." I understand the concept, but I can’t figure out HOW to cast on 19 stitches with my yarn already on the right hand needle?? Any help out there?? I’ve tried to attach the actual pattern, not sure if it will work.

Move the right needle to your left hand. You can then use a knitted or cable cast on to add the new stitches. Move the needle back to your right hand and continue knitting the stitches on the other (left) needle. HTH

I can’t look at the pattern since it’s not free but that is a nice sweater.

it’s THAT simple??? oh my… so I’m casting on on the purl side??

Don’t worry about which side you’re casting on. It’s purely a cast on. On the next row or round you’ll work the stitches as you should to maintain the pattern, either as knits or purls.
Very handsome sweater. Thanks for the link.
