I would like to adjust this preemie hat and bootie pattern so that I can knit it up for a newborn baby instead. Would I increase the needle size?the yarn weight? Please help

The basic pattern has sizes for up to full term and then adaptations for the ones with the flowers. So cute!:inlove:

Take a look at the original patterns that are on the page. You can see that you pretty much just co more stitches for a larger size.

For the booties it shows you co 41 for a full term baby and for the hat 70. Just do the seed stitch border and pop the flowers on.
