How can I do Knit Stitch without purling the other row?

Hi! In my previous question I asked why does my knit stitch looks like purl stitch and how do I fix it. Someone had answered the question for me that I need to knit row 1 and purl row 2 and repeat it as many times I want; is there any other way of me knitting without purling the other row?

Sorry if I had any wrong grammar, english isnt my first language

If you want stockinette (= only knit stitches on the right side of the work), there are only two options when knitting flat:

  1. Turning the work and purling back. This is what most people do.
  2. Switching to left handed knitting for every second row.

You can also try knitting in the round. If you do, knit every row = stockinette stitch. Working flat, you can’t achieve the stockinette effect without purling as far as I know. But it’s good practice – purls are really important in design elements like ribbing which will prove very useful to you later.

Thank you for replying to me, as you can see I’m very new to this
