hi! someone posted this ? a while back, but i’m not sure i understand the reply. i am putting off knitting a purse because i don’t understand the directions to join the knitted peice to the purse handles. the pattern is the cable ready purse from lion brand. the directions say "from WS, insert crochet hook through first purse handle and draw up a loop. (I’m already confused)Bring yarn around ring and draw a second loop through the first loop and through the first loop on the needle. slip st off needle. continue to work crochet wrap in this manner…;
has anyone done this pattern? or can anyone explain this? i’m not a crochet-er! thanks so much!:knitting: :knitting:
Sounds very basic so you might want to check out the tuts on crochetcabana.com. Looks to be like a single crochet worked around the ring.

Are you a member of Rav? If so, there were 32 posted projects of this bag and lots of comments. Various ways of dealing with the handle (some covered, some partially covered, etc).
If not able to access Rav, another non-crocheter opted to whipstitch the handles. One did a seed handle. (Pics attached.) Suffice it to say, no two are alike so you can personalize it however your skills allow.
