Hole in stockinette stitch pattern

Hi, I am working on a sweater in stockinette stitch and I realized I made a mistake in a knit row, right on the end. :wall: I tried to correct it but instead made a hole. Any idea what I can do to correct it other than ripping it all out? Thanks!!!

You wouldn’t have to rip it all out, unless you’ve done that on every row. What may have happened is that the stitch got dropped there when you fixed it, so it’s looser than it should be. You can pull on the stitches next to it to see if you can tighten it up a little, but since it’s at the end where the seam is, it’ll probably be pretty well hidden. You might also have got a YO there which increased the number of stitches, but again, it probably won’t show when you seam it up.

Hi Sue, Thanks for responding. I worked on it on my lunch hour and it turned out to be a yarn over (as you said). I wasn’t too worried b/c it was at the end of the row but the yarn is to fine I was worried a little. Thankfully, I was able to figure it out without having to drive to the nice ladies and the LYS. Thanks for your help!!!
