Help with vogue pattern

making buttonholes k1 row on ws working 2 sts into each double.

What does that mean?

Thank you
Lori

Is this on the same project you were working on here?

I think in order to end up with the same number of stitches on the other side, you need to knit two stitches into each double yo from the row before. I was thinking that you knit one, but the double yo is a big loop and you should knit two stitches into it to have the right number of stitches for the next row.

Hi Ingrid yes it is the same pattern. Why does it say 2 sts into each yo ?

Thanks Lori

That’s how you’ll end up with 55 stitches to match the other side.

You’re picking up 43 actual stitches, and the double yo’s really equal one stitch each after you knit them and there are 6 of those, so you’re up to 46. Knitting two stitches into the yo’s gets you to 55.

oh, ok make sense now

thanks
