Really need help, I’m confused on how to knit row 1 after changing to 5mm needles for the sleeves. Knitting size 5
SLEEVES (Both alike)
Using 4mm needles and thumb
method cast on 38 [42:42:46:50:54]
sts, work 11 [11:13:13:13:13] rows in
2x2 rib.
Next Row. Rib 2 [4:1:6:5:7], pick up
loop between last and next st and
work into the back of this loop (this
will now be referred to as m1), (rib 3,
m1) 11 [11:13:11:13:13] times, rib
3 [5:2:7:6:8]. 50 [54:56:58:64:68] sts.
Change to 5mm needles and proceed
as follows:-
1st Row. P1 [1:0:1:0:0], (k1, p1) 3 [4:
5:5:7:8] times, work from * to * as
given for 1st row of Back, (p1, k1)
3 [4:5:5:7:8] times, p1 [1:0:1:0:0].
2nd Row. K1 [1:0:1:0:0], (p1, k1) 3 [4:
5:5:7:8] times, work from * to * as given for 2nd row of Back, (k1, p1)
3 [4:5:5:7:8] times, k1 [1:0:1:0:0]
Here’s the Back: ROUND NECK SWEATER
BACK
Using 4mm needles and thumb
method cast on 82 [90:102:110:
122:130] sts.
1st Row. * K2, p2, rep from * to last
2 sts, k2.
2nd Row. P2, * k2, p2, rep from * to
end.
These 2 rows will now be referred to
as 2x2 rib.
