Help with Sweater Bag that's WAY too Big

Hi all.

Last night, I completed the “body” of this sweater bag that I’ve been working on.

I know that my gauge across is okay, but I believe that my up/down gauge turned out too big because the bag is HUGE!

I’m waiting to complete the strap because the strap length will depend on the final length of the bag.

I used the Lion Brand Wool-Ease. Can I wash and dry it to shrink it a bit?

Any advice would be MUCH appreciated. :muah:

Woolease won’t shrink–it’s machine washable and dryable. Maybe you can take some rows out?

No, I really don’t want to do that. I’ve finished the ribbing at the end (12 rounds of 100 stitches each…YUCK!).

I guess I’ll have to deal with it. Chalk it up to a learning experience.
