help with row count in a rowan pattern

Hi, I’m trying to know a Rowan Sweater (Belle). I’ve knit the first part of the sleeve and it’s longer than I would have expected, in particular because I have a tendency to knit fairly tightly, and i’m wondering if I have the row count for increases wrong. The directions are:
K2, M1, K to last 2 sts, M1, K2
34 sts
Working all sleeve increases as set by last row, inc 1 st at each end of 6th and every foll 6th ro to 58 sts, then on every foll 8th row until there are 60 sts.

In this, i have assumed that i increase in row 1. row 2 is ws, row 3 knit rs, row 4 ws, row 5 knit rs, row 6 ws purl. then I increase in row"7" starting the count all over with 1. Is that right??

And follow on, the decrease instructions are:
Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 56 sts.
Working all raglan decreases in same way as raglan armhole decreases, dec 1 st at each end of next and every foll alt row until 8 sts rem. --just double checking that on each RS row, i’m casting off at the beginning and the end?

I"m not sure if the 34 sts is after row 1 but assuming it is, then the increases are at each end of rows 7,13,19,25,31,37,43,49,55,61,67 and 73. Then increase on row 81.

Yes, for the armholes, cast off 2sts on the RS and the WS rows then decrease beginning and end of every RS row

Thank you !!
That’s what I did but it’s longer than I expected… guess I’ll see how the fit is and redo if I have to…
Really appreciate your help!

That sometimes happens to me too because I’m not getting row gauge. You can adjust the row numbers for increases or decreases to compensate.
Checking the fit or pinning the sleeve into the fronts and back may help. Good luck with it!
